<p>Where war is concerned, they&#8217;ve played many different parts &#8212; renaissance men of sorts. Today, they&#8217;re members of the Taliban, but they reveal no sentiments one way or another about their cause. Their only mentions of Jihad sound more like discussion of what color camouflage they&#8217;re wearing these days.</p>
<p>The refrain they both repeated:</p>
